Knitting at Scarborough Art Gallery

The Trust is currently updating and redeveloping the Learning Service we offer. Our aim is to use our collections as widely as possible to create a range of themed session for schools. 

We will still offer KS3 & 4 sessions on a bespoke basis and continue to do project work with a combination of visits into schools, self guided visits in our venues and guided workshop sessions. 

Access to subject specific areas of the museum collections can be arranged - an example of which; KS 3 & 4 pupils will often visit to draw objects from our Natural History Collections.

Booking 

Booking is essential for all educational groups visiting one of our venues, whether you are leading a self guided tour or taking part in one of our workshops. A free pre-visit is available. In addition if you have an idea for a project you would like to work on that would come alive with the help of the museum collections just let us know - we'll be happy to discuss how we can help.

Once you have booked - What next?

Once you have contacted the Education Officer a letter of confirmation will be sent to you containing details of your booking, along with any important pre-visit information.

Payment of packages, workshops or sessions can be made by cheque or invoice. You can also find more information on our resources page and some practical details about travel etc here.

Supervision

We will make every effort to ensure you and your group have an enjoyable day. We also have a responsibility to other Museum visitors, therefore pupils must be under adult supervision at all tmes.
