The Trust is currently updating and redeveloping the Learning Service we offer. Our aim is to use our collections as widely as possible to create a range of themed session for schools.
We will still offer KS3 & 4 sessions on a bespoke basis and continue to do project work with a combination of visits into schools, self guided visits in our venues and guided workshop sessions.
Access to subject specific areas of the museum collections can be arranged - an example of which; KS 3 & 4 pupils will often visit to draw objects from our Natural History Collections.
Booking is essential for all educational groups visiting one of our venues, whether you are leading a self guided tour or taking part in one of our workshops. A free pre-visit is available. For more information about our workshops, to book a pre-visit or self guided visit please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 01723 384511. In addition if you have an idea for a project you would like to work on that would come alive with the help of the museum collections just let us know - we'll be happy to discuss how we can help.
Once you have booked - What next?
Once you have contacted the Education Officer a letter of confirmation will be sent to you containing details of your booking, along with any important pre-visit information.
We will make every effort to ensure you and your group have an enjoyable day. We also have a responsibility to other Museum visitors, therefore pupils must be under adult supervision at all tmes.
